The Trick To Treating Hemorrhoids Effectively
The incidence of hemorrhoids has become all too common and statistics show that nearly three quarters of those living in the U.S. (adults) will eventually become sufferers. It’s a lifestyle thing. If you’ve ever had hemorrhoids you know they’re a literal pain in the butt and those afflicted have only one thing in mind – - relief.
‘Natural’ cures exist and these are becoming a popular option. Some of them have been shown to work well. Other, more traditional methods such as drug therapy or medical (surgical and non-surgical) intervention are also available. In addition, drugstores stock various over-the-counter preparations (ointments, lotions, creams, etc.) meant to alleviate some of the painful symptoms.
It’s agreed that surgical procedures should be considered only as a last resort. Most sufferers respond well to home treatments and surgeries are usually reserved only for advanced or extremely stubborn cases. Non-surgical medical procedures (such as rubber band ligation) have also proved to be effective, although they carry an increased risk of complications (including severe pain).
Hemorrhoid sufferers have two problems with which they need to deal. First (and most obvious) are the painful symptoms (which typically include both burning and itching). Someone experiencing a painful outbreak of hemorrhoids wants relief and they want it NOW. You want these symptoms gone, yes, but you also want to take steps to insure that they don’t return.
Treating symptoms without addressing the underlying cause is fruitless. Ointments and oils that relieve the discomfort temporarily are fine for starters but you want to find PERMANENT relief. This can only be achieved by tackling the causes.
Hemorrhoids are most common to people who are overweight, sedentary and consume the wrong type of diet. These things can all be dealt with. Drinking more water, eating foods with more fiber and getting more exercise will all help. Constipation is a big culprit. This causes the sufferer to strain during bowel movements and can indicate the start of a hemorrhoid outbreak. Fiber, water and exercise will go a long way toward eliminating constipation.
Websites specializing in treating hemorrhoids have become prolific and many have made a good business in this area. Since the number of those afflicted is so large the potential market is huge. Those having a tried and true method for alleviating this condition do well. Word of mouth travels fast and a product or system that is effective in helping people with this common condition has a great deal of upside potential.
